What Are We Heading to???

The Beijing Olympics concluded with yet another spellbounding ceremony. They ended exactly the way they began....with loads of splendid performances and breathtaking display of the artists just perfectly matching the grand spirit olympics.Hats off to China for showering the world with this absolutely amazing and beyond-the-planet experience of the olympics. So next is what???Probably the Commonwealth Games goin to be hosted by India in 2010.Everybody..rather I should say every Indian is looking forward so as to see India matching the standards set by China to showcase the Olympics in their true spirits that left the world awestruck.Question that arises here is that can we justify such kind of thinking on our part???Is it fair enough to expect that India would be able to scale upto the heights that China has touched in its endeavour to do justice with the grandeur of Olympics???As far as my opinion is considered i would say its not even justified on the part of indians to bid for hosting such international events.India is a country of a 1.13 billion people.India is home to 1/3rd of the poverty struck people of this entire world. If we glance through 1980some rough statistics then the equations somewhat look like this:
YEAR %POVERTY RIDDEN PEOPLE
1980 60%
1990 51%
1999 45%
2005 42%
42% of the Indian population is still reeling under the shackles of poverty.India has a higher proportion of its population living $2 per day which is less than even sub-Saharan Africa. When the present scenario of India is so pathetic then is it justified on the part of our govt. to hold the responsibility of organising such events of international importance in a country like ours.Dont we need to first look into the basic problems that are eating up the very roots of our so called "DEVELOPING COUNTRY".How long will this ''DEVELOPNG" named tail lead our country..how long???If we dream about matching the standards of other countries that are so furiously racing towards development then first of all we should try to enrich our country internally so that we can prove our mettle to this world.Delhi which is the venue of the 2010 CommonWeath games is still suffering with the pathetic conditions of its roads, then how can it promise to treat an international crowd with all the hospitality and ample facilities??I feel sorry for our decision makers...they dont even have an idea that if we host these games and fail to treat our guests with due attention and cordiality what impression would it create on the world thats looking for so much to happen in a country that is known for its hospitality and where guests are considered as GOD.Do we really deserve to host these games...I think we are not!!!

n0 R!gHtS t0 CoMpLa!N!!!!

glancing at the newspaper today eyes rolled to something that juss left me in a fix.So thought about scribbling ma thoughts right here.A report said that three students of IIM-L are moving ahead to join politics and the reason cited by them seems pretty fair...hats off to their noble thinking.Do we ever ponder upon the question that why is our country such a failure in the eyes of other progressive countries???We citizens of the so called indian country juss run crazy behind criticising the shitty politics that is gaining monstrous proportions with each passing day.Ask the young guys and gals about their aspirations and the dreams they savour for "their" future and you'd get versatile answers which might sound somewhat like this:

"I wanna be an engineer....a doctor...an enterpreneur....actor,designer." And thousand other such goals. Now if you try to question that why dont you want to be a politician then just listen what they have got to say-"who would want to be a politician..politics is a rotten area...you can do nothing for ur country being a politician, its too corrupt and nobody can fight the system to change the age old tradition of piling up bundles in ur pockets by bargaining your nation's progress and your own conscience".........bla bla bla.The elite crowd of our country hailing from such prestigious institutions never try to think that they indeed owe a great deal of their success to their country. After concluding their education they just march ahead to realise a life of fulfillment...some even never return to their country. What a shame is that!!!
When the youth of our country is so selfishly hankering to satiate their hunger without giving a least thought to their country then what right do we have to criticise the politics goin on in this country? No we dont have a right to do that because its us who choose these leaders to run our country on our behalf, they are our representatives...the solution does not lie in criticising them but in moving ahead to lend out helping hands to heal our wounded country.
If we cant step ahead to work for our country then we have got no right to complain!!!

BANG-lore...ahemdaBOMBED

Terror and death reigned in the air after a series of devastating blasts hit bangalore and ahemdabad on july 25 and july 26 respectively. These blasts claimed around 45 lives in ahemdabad leaving 200 injured. These develish blasts once again proved that our country has been a big loser at combatting terrorism in an effective and long lasting manner.Mothers lost their children, children were orphaned and some didnt even see the bodies of their beloved ones. There are numerous existing stories of such sort that would leave us into tears and will leave us shivering with pain and sorrow.Humanity seems to have vanished from the minds and hearts of the men-turned-to-demons who are screwing up their brains to shape up such traumatic and heinous acts of violence.
Terrorism has no religion...These ruthless enemies of humanity claiming to be on the way of a crusade are just slandering their own pious relegion and masquerading their evil deeds as their sacrifice for their relegion.
The blast attacks are alleged to have been executed by some well educated and elite citizens. However sources have not divulged any concrete details in the matter as such. This comes as a serious alarm to us.If the educated and sensible people start plotting such miseries then a clear threat is the use of an advanced and destructive technology in the blasts
that would cause damage on a much larger scale than the present technologies being used by the militants do. The live bombs diffused in surat stand as testimonies to this fact. The use of electronic chips in the bombs clearly picture the advancement in the technology being exploited for death and destruction. These chips had to be programmed and when a particular circuit got completed the bomb would explode to dismantle the very existence of that place.Such use of tecnology clearly indicates that now the militants are advancing by leaps and bounds as far as their tecnological skills are considered....
Another imporatant fact that came into light in these blasts was that these blasts were spearheaded to paralyse our economy, the attacks on our it hub brought down our sensex by a shocking 502 points. The cluster of bombs planted in surat were found from the varacha area which happens to be the diamond bag of gujrat..amounting to a bulky income of about 600 crore per annum from the diamond business.
Its really a matter of shame for us that we've been a failure at guarding our country from such mishappenings....our security once agin malfunctioned and the two imporatant cities trembled with the shocks after just two months of the barbarious jaipur blasts.
Do we forget things so soon that after a short span of time we again fall prey to the same hands of terror and same means of destruction.
If we continue to drag the same way,one day we'll be wiped off from the face of this world totally vanished. Its high time that we tighten up our belts and stand to fight terrorism to the best of our will and sources.WAKE UP INDIA!!!!!!

WOMEN POWER ROARING...

It has been very well said that "the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world".the women power in india has always been supressed under the shackles of rotten society system and the orthodox mentality of its citizens.during ancient times women were honoured and were given a high status of reverence but as time progressed the circumstances kept turning hostile rendering the world of women, especially an indian women, into a living hell.she had to sacrifice her dreams and aspirations at every step to quench the thirst of an indifferent and ignorant society. Some ruthless systems like sati, and the purdah system kept her from the world that was growing constantly. with the passing time the cry of vulnerability and helplessness brought a new subjectivity into indian feminism expressing emotions which had so far not been expressed. At the same time the the focus on working women represented at one level a rejection of the wife-mother power image replacing it with the image of an economically independent woman.Today we see this women power leading the lines in every field; be it the field of education, politics, business, entertainment or any other arena of our social circle.numerous examples stand as testimonies to this fact viz sonia gandhi who has been rated as one of the most powerful women in the world by forbes magazine, indira nooyi epitomising the women power in business, kalpana chawla and several other names of grand stature testify the flourishing role of women in the creation of a fully fledged society that is striving for excellence in all the spheres of life. This transformation however was not an overnight development rather it was an outcome of a sustained struggle that was ignited by some great leaders and visionaries of our country and this world. The most difficult part of this movement, perhaps was to awaken the women crowd from a slumber that they had mistakingly accepted as their life.but the persistent efforts and undying faith of our leaders made this himalayan task turn into a reality. today although a considerable progress has been witnessed in the status of the women crowd all over the world yet much needs to be done and much needs to be achieved in order to give a truly respectable and honourable position to the women of this contemporary age.needless to say the precious contribution of our women leaders has been of vital importance in the develpoment of a growing society but these women who enjoy the prestige of being in limelight are also confronted by endless challenges and problems in their day to day dealings with a male oriented society.who could be a better witness to this fact other than sonia gandhi; a lady who had to face harsh criticism and baseless allegations just because she was a lady a woman who had proved her mettle to the entire world by emerging as a winner in the elections.even today our society nurses evil thoughts and a highly biased outlook for the female crowd.the girl child is deprived of something very basic and inevitable as education or health facilties.the female reservation issue that had much been talked about was not given acceptance by the so called framers of our rules and regulations. all these facts and more clearly picture the challenges that confront our leading women crowd and the common woman too.to wipe off these differences we need to unite our courage and our strength so that we can give a tough fight back to all those boundations that stand in our way to excel and achieve our cherished goals.Until nad unless we make up our minds to fight this sheer manifestation of injustice the woman crowd would continue to face these challenges of being looked down as inferior creatures or creatures with an incurable disablility of surrendering to the wrongs done by a blind male population.so its high time to wake up and fight back!!!!
